Description from the designers:
Andrea Claire Studio is the pure outgrowth of Andrea Claire Lighting. An artisan and fabricator primarily based in Williamsburg Brooklyn, Andrea has produced an intensive collection of handcrafted, custom-made, “inexperienced” lights courting wait on to 2004.
CONSTANTIN, made its debut at the 2011 ICFF, and is the fundamental of several innovative Andrea Claire Studio designs currently in building. The usage of a refined taxonomy of shapes, supplies, and putting systems, our occupy approach is collaborative: we make chandeliers, ground lamps, sconces, and desk lights of the particular dimension and reside to conform to your distinctive stunning sensibilities. Our proprietary forms of bamboo stretched over steel frames and armatures come in in brushed brass, polished nickel, and hand-rubbed bronze.
Andrea Claire Studio takes its inspiration from the artist’s physique of abstract art work. Abstraction acts as a gauntlet, a concern, a visual gambit that that challenges us to redefine and re-keep in mind space and its objects or expressions. Influenced by Isamu Noguchi, CONSTANTIN lifts these guiding tips off the canvas and advances them real into a line of singular lights ideas.
All pieces are sculptural, inexperienced, handmade and long-established, with tailor-tooled formulation deployed with an architect’s consideration to element. (Claire also works as an architect.) Inquiries relating to custom-made occupy alternatives are welcome.
