Aamer Architects possess designed the Dalvey Estate in Singapore.
From the architects:
Daring in own and fluid in draw, the Longhouse @ Dalvey Estate is conceived from merging the tropical language with unusual traces and structure. The make reinterprets the inclined Iban Longhouse, with household communal areas exterior the bedrooms to foster household integration.
With the inward-making an try orientation of the home, its façade and presence from the most major boulevard is kept refined and non-descript, giving finest cramped hints of what lies past. A ‘paper-thin’ concrete field, delicately lined with rich trees, greets guests upon entry. It aptly frames the doorway, with its sheer own and structural gymnastics, exhibiting nearly floating off a void.
The draw is characterized by its infamous louvered ‘drum’ that homes the most major bedrooms and non-public arena of the home. Spatial strategy and articulation of this drum aim to lower affirm of walls, allow beneficiant spill of filtered daylight and fluid circulation between bedrooms, linked by semi-out of doorways verandahs.
