Australian own company Pipkorn & Kilpatrick have accomplished the contemporary interiors of a houseboat.
The type designer’s description
The shapely pure backdrop of Lake Eildon and its surrounds became our inspiration for this queer project. Natural, textured and sustainable offers were balanced with the reflective properties of the water to originate peaceful and light-weight-filled areas.
All spaces were made to feel kindly and float-thru performed thru shining house planning and thru convincing the builder to uncover ceiling heights past the same outdated and to get rid of claustrobia-inducing bulkheads by burying companies between the ceiling joists.
The flooring flooring became designed as a ‘free float of lounge, eating room, galley kitchen and helm’, while the head flooring became divided into living and a non-public zone (housing three bedrooms and a bathroom feeding off the hall).
We loved each and every minute of designing this house and the challenges it presented.
