As allotment of the “Das Haus” Project on the upcoming glowing imm Cologne, a unusual chair by Czech dressmaker Lucie Koldová could be launched.
Named the Chips Lounge Chair, it became designed for bentwood furniture factory TON, and became inspired by the shape of a potato chip.
“I cherish to work with translucent materials, so in this construct I chose a visually gentle but intentionally outsized backrest, which is comprised of perforated cloth framed by manually crooked wood…I needed a chair that would be defined by its tender curves, a chair that would be pleased and interesting before the total lot search. A solitary portion with a particular character and account. And in distinction to a worn chair, I needed a chair that would feel intelligent,” says Lucie Koldová.
“In the initiating I knowing that the most keen allotment of the construct would be forming the backrest. Surprisingly, we had to pay extra attention to the energy of the chair rude, to originate sure the backrest would face as much as the forces utilized to it,” finds the dressmaker.
